Homeowner Moving Out Information
We understand that you are planning to move out of the community. Please review the important information below to ensure a smooth and proper transition.
DO NOT SELL YOUR HOSUE WITHOUT READING THE FOLLOWING:
Move-Out Timing
Your official move-out date must be at the end of a calendar month. Please notify the office as soon as your move date is confirmed.
Selling Your Home
Advertising: You may place signs on your home and advertise through any method you choose. However, please make it clear that all inquiries should be directed to you—not the office.
Found a Buyer?
- Do not accept payment or transfer the title until the buyer has been approved by our office.
- Once you agree on a price and move-in date, instruct the buyer to apply with the office immediately.
- Hold the title until you receive confirmation from the office that they are approved
** YOUR LEASE AGREEMENT DOES NOT END UNTIL A NEW TENANT SIGNS A NEW
LEASE FOR YOUR LOT, REGARDLESS OF WHO OWNS THE HOME **
After Approval
- Once the office confirms that the new tenant has been approved:
- You may collect payment and transfer the title.
- Notify the office of the official move-out date.
Deposit & Forwarding Address
- Provide the office with your new mailing address and the date of your last month in the home.
- Any applicable security deposit will be mailed within 30 days of your move-out date, provided all conditions are met.
Move-Out Inspection & Lot Condition
To receive your full deposit, your lot must comply with all community rules. A pre-move-out inspection may be scheduled with the manager if desired.
Common issues that affect deposits:
- No holes in skirting/underpinning
- Exterior paint in neutral colors only (maximum of 2; check with the office for approval)
- Safe, secure front and back steps
- No weeds around the yard, home, or fence
- Recently mowed lawn
- No trash or debris left on the property
- Trees trimmed and clear of the home
- House clean (does not need to be pressure washed or painted)
- Roof free of damage
- White blinds or curtains on all street-facing windows
